SOME SERVICES PROVIDED
Leson
In Vodou it is common for people to divine with cards. It is also likely that the Houngan or Mambo will call a lwa to talk with you directly to answer your questions. This of course
requires the person to be there physically to communicate with the lwa and a translator can be appointed if needed.
Aksyon De Gras
A common service provided to feed a servitors lwa for any multitude of situations like a festival day or a special thank you to one’s lwa. This can be a fairly simple service or a
full blown traditional formal Vodou dance depending on your needs.
Lave Tet
This is a head washing ceremony also called a sevis tet. It differs from a common Vodou bath that can be done for a multitude of reasons because in our house it is the basic
initiation into Vodou and our house. It is a three day ceremony that lets a devotee know who their met tet is. Not only is it a spiritually uplifting cleansing ceremony it will
help prepare you to serve your lwa among other things. After emerging from the badji the devotee will now be considered hounsi lave tet.
Maryaj Lwa
This is a ceremony that marries a devotee to a specific lwa. Sometimes during a ceremony one is proposed to by a lwa or maybe the lwa comes to you in a dream. This is a big and
serious event that needs to be taken with a great amount of seriousness as it is for life. Certain rules must be followed after making this commitment to the lwa so you must be
prepared.
Baptem
